A few days before her first birthday, my niece Sofia was given a diagnosis that all of us go our entire lives trying to avoid - cancer. Specifically, Leukemia.

Sofia has already started intensive treatment, which will continue for several weeks, and she is taking it on like a champion. Her parents, Nathan and Daniela, and the rest of Sofia's family are standing in prayer-filled faith that her prognosis over the next few months will improve.

In the meantime, as the treatment has just begun, the expenses associated with this diagnosis have also just begun, and will grow substantially over the next few months and beyond. I am organizing this GoFundMe so that Nathan and Daniela can focus solely on Sofia's medical journey and to reduce (and hopefully eliminate) the financial impact that this will have on their lives.
