Join Siboney in Funding John's Education

John came to Siboney as a high school sophomore, in the Summer of 2022, and said the four magic words: “I want to work!” That was Siboney’s first year in the new facility located just 4 miles west of Johnson City. John quickly became a welcome presence across many aspects of the business. From our culinary programs, to the tasting room, to the cellar, John helped Siboney get off to a good start with fresh energy and a great attitude. We also came to know John as an outstanding young man in the community — a local high school student-athlete playing 3 sports while earning a great report card. To recognize John’s value to the team and our many guests, we hung a banner in the barrel cellar, declaring John a Siboney All-Star. He will attend Texas Tech University’s Engineering school this fall.

And now it’s our turn to help John. Sunday, May 26 is “John from Johnson City” Day! We have a small scholarship drive going for John, and invite your participation! We have a GoFundMe site and some fun souvenirs for those choosing to contribute. And Siboney will contribute a matching fund for total donations. If we raise $1,000, we will add $500 to the fund. And if we raise over $1500, we will add another $500, for a total of $1,000 from Siboney.

If donations exceed $1,000 total, Siboney will add +$500. If they are over $1500 total, Siboney will add another +$500, for a total of +$1,000 to the final fund.
