Join Sherman's Journey to Health and Recovery

Let me introduce you to Sherman the cat. Soon to be Sherman the three-legged cat. My name is Amanda, and I have created this page to help raise funds for Sherman's amputation surgery next week. This is my best friend Krystal's cat, and although apprehensive, she finally agreed to allow me to do this to aid in the financial and mental stress that they will be facing. Sherman was diagnosed with a sarcoma and had surgery last July. Now the cancer has come back, and the tumor has grown rapidly, leaving no other option than an amputation before the cancer spreads.

Sherman and his brother Oliver were adopted from Rejoyceful Rescue 9 years ago. They have always been inseparable! Oliver can tell something is wrong and is always trying to cuddle and protect his brother. With the most recent rescue of Lucy the dog, Sherman will have a tremendous support system when he gets home. Currently, Shermmy is in a cone so he doesn't mess with his wound. He's on antibiotics and waiting for his surgery on Tuesday.

With the cost of some emergency visits in the last two weeks (the sarcoma got much worse!) and the upcoming surgery, the cost is quickly rising. While Krystal realizes her rescue family always comes with unexpected costs, this was much more than anticipated, especially after the last surgery.
