Join Shawn's Path to Diagnosis at Mayo

I am writing this for my hubby, Shawn Page. For those who don't know, we have been trying to figure out what is causing his seizure like symptoms. Recently we have been referred to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for the experts to figure out what exactly is happening. We know it is Autonomic (deep in the brain nervous system which tells the heart to beat, lungs to breathe and so on), other than that, it is all unknown. We thought it would be months before we could get in, they called today and we will be there in 2 weeks, and we will be there for about 2 weeks for testing, diagnosis, and a treatment plan. We are asking for help with travel expenses. With the recent losses, our funds are short. We thank you for all you can do, every share will help.

Road to Mayo:

To let you all know about my issues. We have been chasing my episodes for about 2 years now. They started where i would stand up and then after an undetermined time i would freeze up. I would have them once in awhile, but then they have started to happening more frequently over the past couple of years. Now they are happening multiple times a day and have developed in to collapsing to the ground. All my doctors have not been able to determine what the cause is. My last stay in the hospital, one of my neurologist stated that he thinks it has to due with the Autonomic nervous system. So they have referred me to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota.
