Hi, my name is Shamekia, and I’m a single mom recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

I’m currently undergoing active treatment, which includes surgery and possibly radiation, while continuing to work and care for my child who is in college. As you can imagine, this journey has brought a wave of unexpected medical bills, time away from work, and financial strain that I simply wasn’t prepared for.

I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but I’m learning that strength sometimes means allowing yourself to receive. Your donation—big or small—will go directly toward my treatment, recovery, and basic living expenses during this critical time.
