How do you be vulnerable? Well you tell everyone where you are at with complete honesty

and no holds . That is us. In 2023 Scott thought aging was just catching up. But in reality

there was a medical concern that would not be diagnosed until 2024. Not detected right away.

After a year of appointments , follow ups, etc… tests showed that there was a concern. A

cancer/ tumor in Scotts bladder. Testing etc. required a biopsy, A simple resection ended up

being an emergency stay. Much more complicated.

When meeting with the urologist later we were told it was stage 3 bladder cancer.

Stage 3 bladder cancer. I will never forget that day. I will never forget the Dr. who said it, nor

will I ever forget the feeling that I was helpless. The Phone calls to let family know, so surreal.

Care plan….chemo first. All options were put on the table for following up. Then surgery. …

Scott has made It through that chemo portion of his fight. With a positive attitude and lots of

support we are ready to move to the next phase of the care plan.

We are facing a different challenge.

Scott, self employed Hair dresser, made a new schedule and did all he could to keep his

clientele.

We are blessed that they have stood by him. Most awesome client base ever! Awesome work

family as well. We are ever so thankful for them all!

We are challenged with a major surgery in September which will prohibit him from wor

king for up to 12 weeks.

This is where we need you!

If all goes to plan, Scott will be facing a very invasive surgery to remove his bladder as well as

prostate. Best option is to go with an external ostemy bag. This is a minimum week hospital

stay and up to 12 weeks recovery.

We are asking for prayers first!

There is nothing about this that is not compromising. It is hard and we hope that others never

have to deal with this!

Next, we ask if you can help with prayer, yard, bills, meals…etc. We just need to keep the

lights on and just have some normalcy going into weeks of the unknown.

Generally we ask what we can do for our community…but the script is now flipped. We will pay

it forward 100 fold. PROMISE!!!!!
