Join Sara Vuoso’s Fight to Beat Cancer
Hi family, friends, and fire family,
Sara Vuoso, wife of Torrance fire fighter Paul Vuoso, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer called glioblastoma. We are looking for people who want to join the Vuoso family in this fight to beat this cancer! GBM is a tricky cancer and they are currently meeting with the best teams of doctors to see who can out smart it. The plan of attack is to hit the cancer now and hit it hard. Stay tuned for the Vuoso’s game plan!
Here is a little background on the Vuoso family, if you don’t know them personally. Sara attended TCU and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics. She served in the US Air Force for six year where she advanced to the rank of Captain. While she was serving in the US Air Force, she met her husband Paul. They have been married for 17 years. When they decided to start a family, she left the Air Force to concentrate on raising their 2 boys, Adam (14) and Jake (13). They are intentional about their time together as a family, creating memories, fun experiences, and instilling faith into their boys. Today Sara teaches math and science for 5th through 8th grades. This past April, Sara earned her Master of Arts degree in math education from Western Governors University. Within, a few weeks Sara had some odd symptoms which led to the diagnoses of this aggressive brain tumor.
Will you join us in helping ease the financial burden that comes with fighting cancer? We want the Vuoso to not have to worry about the unplanned budget expenses that will surely be part of their immediate future. For example, but not limited to, nutrition, supplements, functional medicine, 2nd, 3rd opinions, travel to other states for care (if needed), freedom to have test they feel are necessary, parking at the hospital fees, medications that may not be covered, etc.. Typically, many things are not covered by insurance and can cause financial burden and stress. We want Sara and Paul to concentrate on beating cancer and enjoying
their boys!
The Vuoso's are strong, hoping and trusting in the Lord to guide them through this difficult trial. Even if you can’t contribute financially, please consider praying daily for them. They are leaning hard into their faith and we need an army of prayer warriors to lean in with them. Their mantra is Faith over Fear.
Thank you in advance for considering supporting Sara’s story through prayer and finances.
