Hi everyone, my name is Sam and the cute lil guy in some of these pictures is my son, Leon. If you live in Manchester, you may have seen my son and me traveling on our e-bikes all over the city. For almost a year, I had been riding a Lectric XP 3.0 everywhere (hit 830 miles on it before the motor died!), but it was mostly used to take my son to daycare, take myself to work, do everyday errands, and even do DoorDash. In the beginning of July, the motor died, so while I waited to get a new part, I was able to purchase a second bike. The Concord Urbanfold treated me so well; it was even better than my big Lectric one!

On Monday, July 28th, at around 1:20 in the afternoon, I took Leon outside so we could take a ride to the Dollar Tree to get some treats. We had a hard few days. We found that the bike rack that my bikes were locked to was completely empty, which meant our neighbors also lost their bikes. I called the police to file a report of theft, as this is a common thing that happens in the city with bikes. They removed my AirTag and left it near my house on Gold Street at around 3:30 AM, so we think it was stolen at that time.

Seeing that my bikes were stolen devastated me, as well as my son. The bikes were my main source of transportation and a source of independence, freedom, and joy for me. I had JUST purchased the Concord bike not even two weeks before it was stolen.

The reason I’ve made this GoFundMe is because while my bike was already replaced thanks to the help of my amazing mother-in-law, I still owe money to Affirm to pay off my loan that I took out for the Concord bike. I had already paid off the Lectric bike a while ago, which was $1200, but had hundreds of dollars of accessories and supplies added to it to make it a safe ride for my son and to maximize its cargo capabilities. I’m also still paying off the second battery as well as some of the things I added to the bike, which was also financed via Affirm. Altogether, I owe almost $1000, but if I can even get just $500, I can at the very least pay off one of the accounts.

As far as what I can do, I can always pay it forward when I can, and if you donate and in the future need your driveway shoveled or need someone to help with some errands, I will do what I can to help. All I want to do is help people and make them happy, and lately, life feels like it’s one negative thing after another, but I don’t want to let that destroy my outlook on things. Thank you.
