Join Samirah's Path to UChicago

Hi! My name is Samirah Jasmine and my dream is to attend the University of Chicago. I am a 17 year old junior in Louisiana, I am a believer, and I am very self-motivated and independent. At my school, I am involved in various clubs, such as:

- Campus Founder and President of Black Student Union (BSU)

- Key Club, 11th grade class representative

- Mu Alpha Theta

- Next Generation Faith based club 

- Owl’s Nest Quarterly Newspaper Editor

- Student Council, Delegate

- Flag Team

- Indoor Track and Field Team

The Woodson Summer Scholars program would increase my chances of acceptance into UChicago, help me connect with other prospective students, and expand my horizons. I am extremely excited about the potential for me to attend this program. I hope to become a criminal defense attorney and the University of Chicago has one of the best law programs in the country. I would greatly appreciate any donations towards the program and travel costs to help make this opportunity a reality!
