Meet Sadie. She is a vibrant, intelligent, caring young woman that thrives on life, friends, and family. Her story is much like any other 15-year-old navigating life and all the obstacles and achievements that come at this age. Through it all, she is true to herself, opens her heart to others, and gives more than she receives.

On April 30, 2025, she was hit by a vehicle that did not yield the right of way in a marked crosswalk. As the PICU doctors explain it - this was a pedestrian vs. automobile collision. The vehicle won. The News

She is currently being cared for in the PICU and is completely sedated and on a ventilator. There are many surgeries forthcoming and lots of work to get her back to normal. Her list of injuries is extensive, the most serious being broken tibia/fibula, pelvic fractures, eye socket/cheek fractures, kidney laceration, and skull fractures.

Sadie is on a long road to recovery and her family will be in need of assistance to help with the medical bills, supporting her during the rehabilitation, and building back her mind and body.
