Hello friends! Richard Barr here! I'm only months away from publishing my book: "How Gravity Really Works", but I need your help to get it done by the deadline on September 5th. Anyone who donates at least $40 will get a free 1st edition copy of the book, and any amount over $40 will be refunded to you after I win the Nobel Prize for Physics. Here's a taste of the intro to wet your appetite:
"Someday we shall learn to fly, and when we do, we will surely fly to the Moon, and in the voids between the stars" ~ Johannes Kepler c1608.
Gravity, as we all know, is what causes apples to fall from apple trees, satellites to assume elliptical orbits, and ocean tides to coincide with the position of the Moon. You might also know that gravity causes time dilation, which means that a clock will tick more slowly as it accelerates, or gets nearer to a massive object. Obviously the effects of gravity are fascinating, but have you ever wondered how it actually does all of these amazing things? Today, the leading theory claims that gravity bends the fabric of space-time, which causes moving objects to assume trajectories along gravitational curves, but that concept begs a few questions - like how does gravity bend space and time exactly? And if space-time is elastic and warpable, what is it made of, and does it have any mass of its own, or is it something more exotic than ordinary matter? As a fan of Star Trek, and science fiction in general, I absolutely adore the concept of warped space-time, but as a ruthless logician seeking to unravel the mysteries of the Universe, I must disappoint my fellow Trekkies. It pains me to say this, but I have unequivocal proof that the theory of curved space-time is an implausible fantasy, invented to satisfy the imagination, but effectively worthless in the realm of science. Because it's based on a logical fallacy, for scientific purposes it has only ever served as a source of confusion. Space is not made of any kind of fabric, in fact it's not made of anything at all. Space is a where, not a what - and time is merely the rate at which material interactions occur in three-dimensional space. Furthermore, since space can not, and does not bend or stretch, this means that the Universe is not expanding and never was, therefore the Big Bang Theory is also implausible, since it's based on the same faulty logic as curved space-time. In reality, our galaxy has been merging with other galaxies for at least hundreds of billions of years, if not trillions, and the Universe itself is infinitely ancient - something astronomers are beginning to realize as they analyze data from the most powerful new telescopes.
Fortunately, the rigorous logic that proves the old theories are invalid, also tells us what's really happening. Time dilation and galactic redshifts are very real phenomena, and part of the gravitational mechanism. That's right, gravity is a mechanical phenomenon, which means it has a physical geometry which can be represented mathematically and simulated via CGI. Once I understood the gravitational mechanism and how it operates, I was able to derive an equation that accurately calculates the strength of gravity, the mass and densities of its parts and their trajectories, as well as time dilation, which is the rate of interactions between components. The correct equation for gravity which I will explain how to derive step-by-step in the chapters ahead, scarcely resembles anything we inherited from Kepler, Newton, and Einstein, because those, now obsolete equations, are too simple to represent the complex nature of the gravitational mechanism. While the old equations may be simple, and therefore elegant to anyone that cherishes simplicity, they are really only useful as approximations in a few scenarios, but fail to provide accuracy in more complex situations where they're often orders of magnitude off the mark. The correct equation looks more like Maxwell's equations for electromagnetism, and that's because all attractive and repulsive forces are manifestations of gravity. That includes everything from the subatomic scale to beyond the size of galactic superclusters. Best of all, my new equation for gravity doesn't require the existence of "dark matter" or "dark energy" in order to work. It turns out, the reason those substances are unobservable, is because they simply don't exist. They were invented in good faith, by well meaning individuals, who simply had no idea what gravity is, or how it really works.
As you read this book, be prepared to have your mind completely blown, because everything you thought you knew about gravity, cosmology, and quantum mechanics is about to be turned on its head. The reality of how the Universe has evolved and come to be what we experience now, is at least as fascinating and intriguing as anything any science fiction author has ever written. In fact, I think the true history of the Cosmos, which I'm here to reveal, is the greatest story one could ever tell. Not only is the Universe more ancient and more complicated than you could possibly imagine, but once you understand the gravitational mechanism, I think you'll see why I believe that our mastery of it will unlock quantum engineering technologies that'll make Iron Man's nanotech suit look like child's play. If what I'm saying is true, future generations will not only be traveling in the voids between the stars as Kepler predicted - they might also fulfill an even grander destiny as an intergalactic species that harvests stars and black holes as routinely as tomatoes. A species that transcends annoying biological limitations such as dying, and the need to breathe oxygen. While I can't guarantee we'll succeed, I'm absolutely certain that such advanced technologies can only come from a better understanding of the laws of nature. We need to know how protons and quarks actually work so that we become more than just tourists in a particle zoo. We need to be engineers that manufacture and assemble particles in to machines that can do anything. With the help of this new understanding of gravity, and in conjunction with artificial intelligence, it's conceivable that we're only a few decades away from inventing the technologies we need to boldly go where no one has gone before!
