Hi! My name is Raegan Hannah, and I am currently a junior in high school seeking the opportunity to study abroad. I am fundraising to cover the cost of my flight to Shanghai, China, where I will be attending the Language and Culture Program this summer. This program, offered through CIEE, is a summer study abroad experience that I was fortunate to be accepted into.

During the program, I will attend daily classes on a university campus, participate in enriching cultural activities, and practice using the language in real-world situations—such as ordering food, conversing with locals, and navigating the city. Additionally, I will be living with a host family, allowing me to fully immerse myself in both the Chinese language and culture for an entire month.

I was awarded a scholarship that significantly reduces the program’s cost, covering expenses like classes, meals, activities, and housing with a host family. However, the scholarship does not include airfare, and the cost of the flight to China is quite expensive. To attend, I must fund my flight by April 1, 2025.

My family and I would be incredibly grateful for any assistance in making this opportunity a reality. Studying abroad will allow me to improve my language skills through daily speaking and listening practice, while also gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.
