Join Pippin's Fight Against Nasal Lymphoma

Kasey adopted Pippin in Feb. 2022 from an animal rescue while she was living in Philadelphia because she desperately needed a creature to love & care for. Pip arrived only a couple days passed his 3rd birthday. Their initial meeting was, without a shadow of a doubt, love at first sight.
Since that day, our family has been wholly complete. Pippin quickly became our "soul cat" – a once-in-a-lifetime kitty who has brought us 2+ years of endless joy and love.
Some things you should know about ol Peep:
- He LOVES laying on pillows like a human
- He is bushy, much like a squirrel or raccoon
- He goes by Pippin, Pip, Peep, Beep, Beep-Beep, Mr. Peep, Big Man and Bubba
- He has two siblings that he loves a lot: Baylee and Sammy, the latter of whom he helped raise and is now his very best pal
In March 2024, Pippin began experiencing RSV symptoms: coughing, sneezing, watery eyes and swelling. After weeks of med vet visits, fault diagnosis and test after test, we received heartbreaking news on the first day of May: our sweet little guy has nasal lymphoma.
His pet insurance will not cover his treatments as they consider his sneezing, sinus and oral issues as a “preexisting condition.”
Luckily, Pippin's cancer is especially vulnerable to radiation. In combination with chemotherapy, our kitty can see many more days with us.
We've already covered around $15,000 in vet bills and are prepared to cover another $10k. No matter what, we will ensure that Pip gets the medical care he needs: we've been self-funding using our savings and we recently took out a line of credit specifically to help fund this treatment.
His care plan is as follows:
- 5x a week 15-20 min. radiation treatments for 3x weeks
- Treatment will take place at MedVet Cincinnati, about an hour (48ish miles) away from where we currently live
- Follow-up chemo / other CHOP meds (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisolone)
Asking for help wasn't our first plan, nor the second or the third, but we love Pippin more than words can accurately describe. We promised him that, no matter what the odds are or the cost is, we would fight as long as he was able–and as long as he wanted. This little guy has a lot of moxie and a real zest for life, so we're in this for the long haul.
Nevertheless, we know times are tough and money is tight for everyone. There is absolutely no expectation to donate!! Please share if you're able, or send along some kind and encouraging words. Everything helps. Even the emotional support.
Thanks so much. Love ya'll.
