Help Angelique Begin Her Journey at the University of La Verne
My name is Pauletta Pierce, and I’m reaching out with deep gratitude and hope. My daughter, Angelique, has been accepted to the University of La Verne, a tremendous achievement and a first for our family. She will be the first in both her father’s and my family to attend a university directly from high school.
As a single mother who raised Angelique while in active recovery, this milestone carries profound meaning. Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked in the substance use disorder field first as a counselor and now as a trainer, dedicating my life to helping others while nurturing a strong, compassionate, and academically driven daughter. Angelique is not only intelligent, but deeply grounded in emotional awareness and resilience. She is breaking generational cycles and stepping into a future we’ve both fought hard to build.
Angelique will be majoring in Rhetoric and Communications, a path that speaks to her passion for justice, storytelling, and meaningful connection. We are honored to join the University of La Verne community, but we still face financial challenges. Despite scholarships and grants, we are asking for your support to help us cover the remaining out-of-pocket expenses.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to this dream. Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting Angelique’s journey.
