Hi, my name is Katie and as most of you already know my husband Chris and I received news that is every parents worst nightmare. On February 26th, our son, Owen was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Owen immediately had a port put in started chemotherapy. Owen has had a few complications along the way and most recently he was transferred to the icu and intubated due to what they think is a fugal infection in his esophagus and lungs. He currently doesn’t have any white blood cells to help his body fight the infection. Chris and I have been alternating staying at the hospital to make sure Owen has the best care and we have come to a point where I will be taking a leave of absence from work to care for him. We know that there are so many people who are praying, supporting and wishing him well. We are overwhelmed with the support and can’t thank everyone enough.
