Over 50% of the insects have died since the 1970's because of urbanization and climate change

Biotopia is a youth-led organization focusing on insect habitat restoration. We grow native seedlings from old coffee pots and distribute these plants to the community. We aim to introduce new people into native gardening to help restore habitats that insects have lost due to urbanization.

We also have a school aquarium, which is how we started out: by making 'Biotopes' or naturalistic aquariums to educate students about aquatic ecosystems.
