YO everyone! My name is Weldon Gibson, SINCE A KID I've always desired to make a change in the world, to make global impact, and use my life to serve others and make a difference in places where society turns a blind eye. God has always put it deep in my heart to travel the world and touch lives in any way possible. It's never too late to start now.
For the past two years I've been blessed to have the opportunity to serve & work with a nonprofit organization called One Day At A Time in the inner city of Philadelphia.
For over 40+ years, our organization has faithfully served the Philadelphia community—and now we have an opportunity to extend that mission beyond our city.
From July 19th–July 27th, our team will be traveling to Limón, Costa Rica for a mission trip focused on serving communities in need. One of the most meaningful parts of this trip is that we are bringing two young adults from the inner city with us, giving them the opportunity to experience teamwork, servanthood, adaptability, hope, and cross-cultural connection in a life-changing way.
During this mission trip, we will be:
- Providing hot meals to members of the community
- Supporting a local orphanage with needed medical supplies
- Repainting and reconstructing homes and buildings
- Partnering with local churches through prayer and community outreach
- Assisting with basic medical support for those in need
I am working to raise at least $4,500, which will help cover essential costs including housing, food, transportation, and airfare.
Our goal is simple: to make an impact beyond borders and serve others with compassion and purpose!
If you feel led to support this mission—whether through giving or sharing this page—I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for being part of this journey with us! Below is a flyer explaining what your donation can go towards!
Thanks again! Below is a picture of some of the members of our young team that will be serving in the forms of hope, faith, and love in action in Costa Rica!
