We are Martijn and Daf, embarking on an extraordinary journey that will test our limits and spirit in one of the world's most demanding endurance events - the Marathon des Sables. This isn't just a race across 252km of some of the harshest terrain on Earth, including vast deserts and unforgiving temperatures. It's a mission. A mission to endure hardship by choice, and raising awareness and support for those who face even greater challenges, without choice.

Sleeping on the ground, facing extreme temperatures, and living on limited food and water, we will experience just a fraction of what many people around the world endure daily for much longer periods. This is our voluntary challenge, but it's a stark reality for countless individuals.
