My name is Melanie, and today, I’m here to share the story closest to my heart – the story of my mother, Cat, a woman who really needs no introduction. Her love for life and people has always been as boundless as the sky. (If you know, you know!!)

Cat, who we all know has always been the life of every party, faced her diagnosis with the same courage and positivity that she has always instilled in my brother and I. After undergoing treatment, we were blessed with a brief period of remission. However, with heavy hearts, we learned that the cancer has returned, more aggressive than before and has spread.

Throughout her life, Cat has been not just an amazing mother and nana but a beacon of joy and a source of unwavering support to her friends and family. If anyone ever needed anything she is always there happy to help and do so with a smile on her face.

Now, as her daughter, I find myself stepping into a role I never imagined – being a full-time caregiver to the woman who has always cared for me. To do this, I will be taking an unpaid leave from my job, and staying with her for this journey.

We are now in a hospice situation and will be paying for final expenses.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to provide a place where people can help support in the only way we know how. It will allow her to feel at ease and have the comfort knowing there are no financial burdens.

We understand these are challenging times for many, and any form of support, whether financial or simply sharing this campaign, is deeply appreciated. We believe in prayer and good vibes. Please say a little prayer for her right now.
