Join Otto’s fight against feline stomatitis

Hi, my name is Darlene and I am raising money for a cat named Otto so that he can have a surgery he so desperately needs. If you know anything about Feline Stomatitis, you know it’s a debilitating inflammatory condition. The current protocol involves removing the cat's teeth. This is a delicate procedure because cats' mouths are so small and requires dental X-rays to ensure the entire root of the teeth is removed. As you can imagine, this is very expensive.

Help Otto Get the Care He Needs

Below is the story of Otto from his mom and dad, Jennifer and Brian Doyle.

Our kitty Otto, also known as Baby Nugget, needs a second oral surgery to remove his remaining teeth due to painful Stomatitis. Financial hardships have made this difficult, and we urgently need your support.

Otto inspired us to create our cat rescue, Alleycats & Aristocats. He was found clinging to life in a car engine near our cafe, Avalaun. After two days of rescue efforts, he became a part of our family, fondly known as a “Foster Fail.”

Sadly, Otto suffers from Stomatitis, a chronic inflammation of the gums that affects 1 in 100 cats. We’ve been managing it with treatments, but it’s time for surgery to alleviate his pain.

Despite ongoing treatments, Otto's brief periods of relief from Stomatitis grew shorter. He had one oral surgery to remove some affected teeth, which initially helped, but the pain returned.

The pandemic hit us hard financially, especially after closing our cafe, Avalaun. This burden has forced us to postpone his necessary surgery multiple times due to unexpected expenses.

As we struggle to prioritize important bills like our mortgage, it’s hard to ask for help, and the stigma brings feelings of guilt. We've sold nearly everything we can, but following recent vehicle issues, I’ve realized I need to set aside my pride and ask for assistance for Otto.
