Hello, my name is Kathleen Groves & I am raising donations for my nephew Noah Bowlin.

Noah is a kind-hearted 8-year-old who loves to read and spend time with his family. He enjoys swimming, playing with Hot Wheels, video games, and soccer. He’s also a big fan of Pokémon and loves building Lego sets.

On June 6th, Noah noticed an odd bump on his shoulder. Munson Medical Center was unsure what the bump was and advised going to Devos Children’s Hospital for further testing. On June 8th, Noah had an X-ray, ultrasound of the shoulder, and bloodwork. Within the next few days, a CT scan and another ultrasound was completed which showed a cancerous mass on his shoulder and both kidneys (the size of a half dollar).

After a biopsy of the shoulder and removal of a lymph node, the results showed that Noah has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma (ALL) - stage 3, type B cell lymphoma. He now has a port and will be on a treatment plan of 2.5 years.

With the rare form of Lymphoblastic cancer, Noah will be participating in a study where his samples will be studied to further knowledge and advances in treatment for future children that are diagnosed. The study does not involve extra testing. Throughout Noah’s treatment, some samples will be set aside for the study. In this way, we hope to help another family.

Your donations will provide crucial support for Noah's family during this challenging time. They will help cover: travel expenses to and from Grand Rapids, medical expenses, and basic living costs. His parents are taking necessary unpaid time off work to be with him during weekly chemotherapy sessions for the next 9 months. After that, they will continue traveling once a month. Altogether, the treatment plan is 2.5 years.

Not a single child deserves this new and scary reality, one day normal and the next, not. As a family, we are coming together to do everything possible for our Noah to support him going forward. We ask for prayers that we as a family can be strong for Noah and that God will give our little boy the courage he needs until he defeats Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma.

Each donation made whether a dollar or more will add up, giving his parents the much needed relief that they will be able to be by his side when he needs them the most.
