Hello Team Nikki! We are ever so grateful for your contributions to Nikki and her family. Your support has helped with medical bills, meals for the family, supplies needed by Nikki, etc.

Nikki was able to be at home throughout the summer, enjoying some sun in the backyard and doing work for Nik J Designs. Because of a selfless stem cell donor in Europe Nikki has a chance to beat this disease. On August 29th Nikki had a stem cell transplant after heavy chemotherapy and radiation. Nikki is now 8th day post transplant. It has not been easy for her to beat the constant nausea and malaise.

Nikki is currently struggling with the pain from mucositis, especially in the mouth and throat – a painful inflammation and ulceration of the mucous membranes lining the digestive tract as an adverse effect of chemotherapy. Luckily she is receiving pain medication for this very unpleasant side effect. These side effects are, hopefully, expected to subside in approximaltey 4-6 days.

Around day 17-25 days post transplant we are hoping to see some sort of results.
