Please Help Manawahine Nevaeh!

Aloha everyone!
On Saturday May 25th, 2024, my oldest daughter, Nevaeh Michelle Aaliyah, was involved in a life-altering pedestrian versus automobile collision; Nevaeh, my superhero 16 year old, being the pedestrian.
After long consideration I’ve decided to take some time off of work in order to be her full-time care provider; and after great advice from many peers, I’ve decided to start a GoFundMe due to the serious nature of her injuries and the expensive road to recovery ahead.
After being hit at 45mph her external and internal injuries are extensive! Too many to count! She's been unconscious from the moment the ambulance arrived on the scene until noon time yesterday(05/29/2024).
Her external injuries include exposed fibula and tibia leg bones that shattered out the front of her right shin. 1st surgery was a success! Successfully placing a surgical “nail” and some screws into her right leg to help fuse her bones back together. The most worrisome break other than her leg is a high C1 neck fracture currently requiring a neck brace for minimum 6-8weeks. She has severe road rash along her entire right side. The craziest bruising Ive ever on both her arms, and bumps bruises and scrapes all over from head to toe.
Internal injuries include bruising and “stretches” to various synapses in her brain(mostly temporal/frontal lobes). Multiple lacerations of internal organs involving kidneys and most notably-a severely lacerated liver.
This young warrior wahine is looking at a 6 month minimum to a year or longer of full recovery. Re-learning everything from scratch.
After having the breathing tubes removed, and asking how it feels to breathe on her own again-she whispered her first word-“weirrrd…”
Weird is exactly how we can all feel at times. Whether it's asking for help, helping others, or being helped.
I’m sure Nevaeh still feels a little weird right now having her father, or sister, or grandma feeding her through a straw…Or waking up immobilized in a hospital bed, not knowing when you’ll be able to do any and all the things you want to do! If only I could help share her pain and alleviate the weirdness of these moments for her.
I think one of the most important parts through all this though is knowing that we’re always willing to help each other grow stronger.
So here’s to growth. As I always tell
my keiki-“PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION!”
Any donations made are going straight to Nevaeh’s rising hospital bills, housing fees, recovery services, and food and transportation costs being temporary displaced.
Mahalo nui loa to anyone and everyone who has taken the time out of their day or night to read this far.
Time is one of the only things we truly have on this planet…and none of us know when it can be our time. Our time to rise, our time to fall, our time to be still.
In the blink of an eye, Nevaeh’s life and times had changed forever. I’m extremely proud knowing my 16 year old soldier is showing us all how crucial it can be to always keep fighting. No matter what!
From one father, son, and brother to everyone of you! Please help us with anything you can and thank you again in advance for all your empathy, your kindness, and your generosity.
She feels all the mana, the power, the love, the prayers, and all the best wishes that everyone has shared with us and manifested to this point. She’s as wide awake as she can be right now! Ready for the next battle!
