Help My Son Chase His Dream of WrestleMania Before He Loses More Sight

My son has faced unimaginable challenges from a very young age. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at just 2 years old, his journey has been anything but easy. Puberty made his condition even harder to manage, leading to frequent hospitalizations. He missed out on so much—school, sports, and countless other experiences. The anxiety over tryouts would send his blood sugar soaring, and he never got the chance to join a team like he dreamed of.

Earlier this year, life dealt him another blow: he began losing sight in his left eye. Doctors diagnosed him with diabetic retinopathy. Despite undergoing surgery and multiple treatments, there’s no guarantee he won’t lose more of his vision. Watching him face these struggles has been heartbreaking, but his resilience and positivity continue to amaze me.

Despite battling anxiety, depression, and his health challenges, my son has always been a beacon of kindness and determination. People are drawn to his big heart and incredible personality. He’s a hardworking young man who recently took on a second job to save for something he’s dreamed of for years: attending WrestleMania.

WrestleMania 41 is a two-night event taking place on April 19 and 20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. It’s all he and his friends have talked about for months. This dream means everything to him, especially now that his vision loss has added urgency to experiencing things he loves while he still can.

But life has thrown him yet another curveball. A few nights ago, a family of deer ran in front of his car, leaving him with unexpected repair bills. It’s another hurdle in his efforts to save for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

As a mom, I would give him the world if I could. He doesn’t know I’m starting this campaign—and he might be upset if he found out—but I want this for him more than anything. I want to show him that despite all the setbacks, dreams can still come true.
