Help Laurel Beat Cancer Her Way — $1 at a Time
Join the $1 movement = Be a lifesaver!
Laurel Norris, single mom to a 6 year old daughter, is a 36-year-old cancer warrior in a fight for her life against one of the most aggressive cancers known: Stage 3C high-grade triple-negative breast cancer, combined with inflammatory breast cancer — a rare and especially fast-moving form.
When Laurel first heard those dreaded words: You have cancer! Her world stopped. How can this be, she is only 35. Well so began the journey. Laurel went to 28 appointments in the first 30 days. Her one mantra "I will not do chemotherapy!" See, during Laurels senior year of high school she watched her father die from chemotherapy. His death certificate says pancreatic cancer. She made a vow to never receive that poison cocktail.
So, Laurel's first appointment wasn't to an oncologist but to a surgeon. The introduction she made was "Hi I'm Laurel and I won't be doing Chemotherapy. Please cut this cancer out of my body." After about 4 seconds of feeling in Laurels armpit, the surgeon would deliver the worst news. The cancer had spread to far for too long. The tumors were attached to veins and arteries and no surgeon would risk Laurels life to operate. She would have to do chemotherapy to shrink the tumors before any operation could occur. What if she chose to still not get chemo you ask? "You will die, in severe pain and relatively soon" was the surgeons response!! Alright then, looks like Laurel is doing chemo.
She has undergone surgery to place power port, 12 weeks of weekly 4–6-hour infusions of chemotherapy; a near death fight with sepsis resulting in emergency surgery to remove power port; a double mastectomy, lymphadenectomy (9 tumors in her left armpit); second surgery due to skin thinned and stretched too tight, and is currently enduring a second round of the most intense chemotherapy.
Oh what damage these treatments, procedures, blood poisonings can do! Laurels body is now thoroughly wrecked. With a absolute laundry list of negative side effects she suffers from. some are short term and some are permanent and some are just waiting to pop up (Lymphedema). Laurels body needs treatment that helps and heals and leaves her feeling better instead of worse!! She is currently in a disabled state with limited function of her left arm following surgery and still facing 2 more surgeries. All she wants is to enjoy the life she fought so hard to get to keep!!
Therefore, this summer, She is heading to Mexico to continue this battle against cancer with two weeks of whole-body immunotherapy — an integrative, non-toxic protocol that includes her own immune cell extraction, activation and reinfusion, hyperbaric oxygen, hyperthermia, and intensive nutritional therapy to name just a few.
Message from Laurel -This isn’t just about treatments. It’s about choice. Dignity. A chance to heal and raise my daughter. Because no matter how triple negative this cancer is… I am B-positive. That’s my blood type. And my entire mindset. It’s the energy I bring to this fight — and the light I refuse to let go. My daughters motto for this fight is "This little light of mine" with this simple song she has reminded me on my darkest days that one little voice raised in song can change the world! one little light!
Here is The Vision – The Hope
Laurel came up with something beautiful.
We’re calling it the $1 Movement.
So here it is:
If you’ve ever asked Laurel what you can do to help — this is it.
Donate $1.
Ask your friends, your coworkers, your group chats — $1.
If you can give more, amazing. If all you can give is $1, that’s more than enough.
“If everyone who knows me asked everyone they know for one dollar, that would change everything. A single dollar might not seem like much, but it could give me a real shot — not just at surviving, but healing.”
Let’s rally behind a mother who deserves to raise her daughter.
Let’s fight for someone who’s already fought for herself harder than most ever have to.
Let’s prove that compassion doesn’t have to be expensive — just widespread.
With love and fight, Laurel

From Laurel to You:
“I don’t want pity. I want power — to choose healing on my own terms. To live. To be there for my daughter. And to light the way for others like me.”
Help her shine.
Even if it’s just $1.
