My name is Miracle Grace, and I am a recent graduate of Southside Virginia Community College. For several years it’s been my hope to get a degree in English & Creative Writing. However, my goal of attending a four-year university seemed out of reach. Then, in March I received a phone call from an admissions counselor at a college in Virginia. She encouraged me to apply as a transfer student for their school’s undergraduate program, and so I did. I was accepted in April and will be attending in the fall as a junior. Recently, I’ve experienced a lot of setbacks from ill health. Between the good news about school and having access to medication to manage my symptoms, I am slowly recovering.

The purpose of my GoFundMe is straightforward. While the cost of tuition is covered, there are things that I’ll need to make it through the semester. Items such as a new laptop, repairs, supplies, and fees just to name a few. Additionally, this is my junior year, and I will need to order my class ring which will be presented to me in a ceremony at our junior banquet. My goal is to raise $900 before the start of the semester, which begins in just a few short weeks.
