Newest update 2/27/25:

Mimi has completed her second dose of Chemo two more and then they reevaluate to see if tumors have shrunk enough for surgery. We are hopeful and that she will be able to have surgery and that will be the end of chemo. Mimi is losing her hair so we went and had a mini shave party and now a few of us are bald. Things are looking as good as they can riggt now but she still needs our support.

update: many have asked what the funds will specifically be used for, so I will share. They have to re dig their well so they have clean running water. Their septic line is crushed so that has to be fixed/ dig up. Chemo is toxic and they don’t want waste getting in the yard. The house needs other repairs to make it safe and conducive for someone going through Chemo!

Mimi Neely is one of my dearest friends and has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. By the time they caught it, the cancer had spread to her lymph node. She is looking at some aggressive treatment. Chemo will be starting soon, followed by a double mastectomy, then possibly more chemo or radiation.

Aside from the expenses that come with illness and the inability to work like normal, they now also have to dig their well, the only source of water for their family.

This is a very scary and long journey for Mimi and her family and anything will help.
