To know Miles Lagstein, is to love him.
We are seeking support in Miles Lagstein's cancer treatment and healing journey. Miles was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer that has developed in his right leg. The cancer is aggressive, but was caught early. An aggressive treatment plan at Memorial Sloan Kettering, the #1 osteosarcoma treatment center in the country, is beginning. The shock and worry for the family has been unfathomable.
Miles is a joy-filled, giving and positive almost-twelve-year-old that everyone wants to be around. He has the biggest heart and always seeks out how he can help in any situation. He shows gratitude every day and says "thank you" more than any other kid you will ever meet. He is a funny, sporty, energetic and generous son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Now it is time for us to help this amazing human being!
Being so close to Sloan in NYC is a blessing, but it also comes with a tremendous financial burden. Treatments will be from 8am-5pm and will run on a schedule over the course of several months. There will be significant costs associated with commuting regularly, parking, car services / Ubers, hotel stays and meals to get Miles the vital treatment he needs.
We ask for contributions to provide some relief and support for Miles and his incredible parents Brooke and Eric, and amazing sister, Marlie. They have felt so much love and care from family, friends, schools, sports teams, neighbors and strangers. Easing the financial burden is a gift that many of us together can give to help make this important and challenging journey a little less rocky.
Other generous ways to support the Lagsteins would be to provide gift cards for Uber, Uber Eats and Door Dash so those family members in both NYC and Wyckoff can easily have meals without hassle.
Thank you so much for donating to help out this truly special boy and his loving family!
