Join Mike’s Journey: Spinal Injury Recovery

On Sunday, July 13th, our beloved brother, son, and friend Mike (Charlie) Spikes was involved in a devastating scooter accident that left him with severe spinal injuries. The impact compressed his C3–C6 vertebrae, leaving him unable to move his body.

Since the accident, Mike has been in the ICU at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in McKinney, where doctors have been working around the clock to stabilize him. He is now being transferred to Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, where he will begin the long, difficult road to recovery.

Mike has a fighting spirit, but the challenges ahead are tough physically, emotionally, and financially.

We’re raising funds to help cover emergency and ICU medical bills, specialized rehabilitation and physical therapy, medical equipment and adaptive devices. transportation and accessibility needs, and long-term care and support.
