Join Michele DeRosa's Fight Against Breast Cancer!

My name is Katie and I am creating this fund to support a dear friend, Michele DeRosa, who has recently been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. She bravely began this fight on her own, has begun chemo treatments and did not want to accept any help, but I hope that we can come together and take some of the burden off of her while she battles this terrible disease. Almost two years ago, Michele tragically lost her husband who was her best friend, leaving her away from her Vermont family in her home of Sarasota to deal with this without him.

Her words will mean more than mine, and of course she wanted to help others by sharing her own diagnosis (because this is who she is):

About 3 weeks ago, I was diagnosed with an invasive, fast-growing breast cancer. I had a mammogram in May of last year, this year in June. I honestly believe this began less than 6 months ago. I know the next few months are going to be tough but hopefully I can beat this and continue on with the rest of my life. I'm part of another "club" I never expected to be a part of. The love and support I have received from friends and family is overwhelming but so appreciated. I love you all so much. Thank you for everything.
