Join Mia's fight

2021 has been a challenge for so many & I was no exception as I've faced my biggest battle.

One morning I woke up with my heart racing, rushed to the E R & was later told that I was in complete kidney failure & in need of a transplant.

I've gone through the crying, shock, disbelief & depression & with so much support from family & close friends, I am now in a much better place.

I'm blessed to have numerous, gracious potential donors including my husband and son.

My god-son-in-law, Gerard has been selected to donate his kidney & I am forever grateful.

While we do have private insurance, the expenses exceed the coverage.

Gerard is self employed and is making a huge sacrifice by also giving up weeks of earning pay in addition to relocating during the process to help save my life.
