Hello everyone! My name's Melina and everyone that knows me knows how much I love animals, especially kitties. I have my senior cat, Pantoof, who has had a health rollercoaster with kidney disease. I also have Giri and care for about 7 outdoor feral community cats that were abandoned by previous neighbors. This GoFundMe is to help raise money for one new kitty who needs some rescuing.

Momo was found on October 23, 2024. He had a UTI, respiratory infection, was malnourished, had a blood count of 7%, was full of fleas and mites, and had rotten teeth. Momo was estimated to be around 12 years old and only weighed 5 lbs. The original person who took him on wasn’t able to take on the responsibility of caring for a senior sickly animal. Even though I was already stressing finances for caring for all the other furbabies, I just couldn’t stomach seeing him put out in the street again or ending up in a shelter. So I decided to foster him and get him healthy before taking him to his forever home with my auntie. He was doing so well, but unfortunately, due to all his original issues, he developed a growth in his eye. Vets say it’s possible it’s due to eye friction on the eye socket, but it could also be cancer. He needs to get his eye removed as well as a few more rotten teeth. He is such a sweetie and such a fighter. He plays and enjoys his new cat tree. If the doctors had suggested putting him down because he was lethargic, losing weight, or his bloodwork showed a decline, I would, even though it’d break my heart. But the vet is very optimistic that after his eye is out, he will be living his best life. I am remaining optimistic too. I’ve grown to love Mr. Momo and bonded through all the nursing.
