Join Meeow Chicago in Helping Jubilee-One of our own...

Hello all. This is a special kind of fundraiser. A fundraiser for one of our own here at Meeow Chicago. A sweet cat named Elio was put into boarding at Meeow for 2 weeks recently with a request of discount because the owner was experiencing homelessness. Of course, you all know me. I help cats, cicadas, any animal and definitely seniors and people experiencing homelessness often. Not recognizing the name of the payor, it was like any other cat boarding here.

Fast forward a week & Jubilee, a new-hire of Meeow, had come in to "visit" her cat. I was a bit confused, thinking, "Oh, she was on vacation, so?" But in reality, it was brought to me that she was now experiencing homelessness, living in a shelter on Fullerton Ave. The agency helping her were the ones paying for his fees while they tried to get this bright young girl off the streets. She has been to numerous agencies here and just sent in circles, so I stepped in.

Our generous staff here at Meeow have donated 1 night each for housing at a local hostel for the past week and again we all have put in to extend her 1 more week while we try to find a room to rent for her, a small studio apartment that's affordable... really anything safe for her and Elio. Would my friends, family, rescue family, staff & anyone that supports us be willing to help us raise some money to get this young girl & her cat off the street? No donation is too small. It all adds up. I think this is a very special girl who loves her cat and has lost pretty much everything from a very bad home situation.

We have set the bar at $2400 thinking 2 months' rent and security deposit, plus the extra fees they charge for cats, move-in fees, application fees, and more fees and more... LOL, you get it.
