Join Me on My Seamanship Adventure

Hello family and friends! Over the past year, I've been busy getting certification, credentials, and physical exams all in order to get me accepted to The Seafarers Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship! In this 10-month program, I will learn how to perform duties on large shipping vessels, as well as become certified to work on many kinds of boats.

I'm beyond excited to start this career path because it allows for global travel. Oftentimes when shipping overseas, I'll have opportunities to get off in port towns around the globe and explore the world in a unique way. Who wouldn't love an impromptu stay in Djibouti, Africa, or an expedition to Antarctica?

Starting June 9th, I will start the education necessary to follow these dreams. I'll be flying out to Maryland to attend SHLSS. While I have covered the upfront costs of examinations, flights, and classes, I will still need to cover my bills during my time in school. I have enough in my savings that I can cover things for the majority of the time I'm in Maryland, but a little assistance would go a long way and would allow me to spend this coming month seeing family before I ship out.
