Join me in my calling to Kona

This summer in July, I have an opportunity to join YWAM, in Kona, Hawaii. On this trip I have the opportunity to explore the deep and wild heart of God through adventure and serving the local community. This journey started when I was 13 or 14 years old. I felt the prompting of the Lord to move to Kansas City after I graduated high school. However, I lost sight of this call during my HS years. Around the time of my HS graduation, I was going through a particularly difficult time, not knowing my true purpose or who I really was. During this time, the Lord reminded me of His call to move to Kansas City. I graduated in May 2023. That July, even though it was very scary, I followed through, stepped out in faith and moved to KC!

Looking back, I see that God has led me step by step in this direction. While in Kansas City, the Lord clarified that He wanted me to join YWAM. Shortly after I moved, I attended a small Christian group. A lady I did not know told me she saw me in a vision preaching the gospel on a beach in Hawaii to unreached people. I didn't think too much about it. A few days went by and I ended up going thrift shopping.... What are the chances I find a pair of hot pink shorts that say Maui? I bought the shorts and kept moving along with my day. About a week or two later I adopted a kitten named Diego. 2 or 3 months after adopting Diego, he escaped my house (he was an indoor kitty), got hit by a car and was left flat in the middle of the road. I was very devastated and so sad that my baby had gotten ran over. In that time of weeping, I felt the Lord say that He was calling me to Kona, Hawaii. So here we go!!

Just a little background, YWAM is a Christian based missions program focusing on raising up young people to know God and make him known in all nations. This is done in two phases. The first phase is the lecture phase which is a 3 month school, where I will learn from speakers all over the world, diving deep into who God is. The outreach phase is where we will

practice what we learn by taking God's love to the community. We will be meeting both practical and spiritual needs being God’s hands, feet and heart to a dying world.
