I understand that this is a bit unusual, and I very much hope nobody feels obliged to participate. What matters most to me is having an opportunity to see all of you on October 3. That said, as we get older, I do feel that our self increasingly becomes part of larger whole. So rather than accumulating more random things, my hope is that this might make an however small difference. I have been a member of Amnesty for decades, and I always thought that they stand for some kind of bare minimum that we all should be able to agree on whatever differing viewpoints we might hold otherwise.
