Join Mary's Fight for Healing and Hope

In November, our mom, Mary, was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic inflammatory breast cancer presenting in her bones. While the diagnosis was shocking, she has walked into the process faith forward and as courageously as before.

She is currently receiving treatment at Ironwood Cancer Center in Mesa, AZ. Her oncologist has been wonderful and we are so grateful for a knowledgable team of medical professionals. However, the difficulties and costs associated with medical treatments and care is overwhelming. While needing to be aggressive with radiation and chemo, mom wasn’t able to handle radiation and has chosen to do a systematic and targeted chemotherapy consisting of 7 days on followed by 7 days off.

Mom has always wanted to do things herself and has a hard time asking for help - but with my brother and I out of state, having an in home aide to care for her during this time will be necessary and expensive to provide. We are starting this GoFundMe with the hopes of helping cover the costs of care during her treatment. The costs will include:

In home nurse to help with medicine administration, comfort in chemo side effects and daily hygiene.

In home aide to help with tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, taking care of Petey (her beloved cat) and companionship.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to ensure mom can focus on treatments and healing without the added burden of financial stress. Everything raised will go directly to her in home care and medical expenses during this time.

Mary is a fierce advocate for Inflammatory Breast Cancer Awareness, a mother, grandma, sister, friend and light to those around her. No donation is too small and every contribution will make a significant impact toward her recovery.
