Hello my name is Lucy. I have started a go fund me for my mom Marylou Spaulding. My mom found out this week she has stage 4 colon cancer, which has spread to her liver and lungs at the young age of 65. She will be starting treatment very soon and has already met with Mass General oncology. She will have chemo treatments for the rest of her life along with a long road ahead of her. She’s the most selfless woman I know. A devoted mother, Nana to 13 grandchildren, loving partner and faithful friend. Mom would do anything to help others and I’m hoping we can all do the same to help her and ease the burden of all the bills and expenses to come. She wants to get a second opinion which insurance will not cover which let’s face it, with such a serious diagnosis we all would want a second opinion for the best outcome and treatment possible. Her life is about to be very different, but the many everyday bills and expenses will continue to come her way while trying to fight this horrible disease.
