Update- During Mary Jo’s surgery it was determined that the cancer had now spread to her small intestine and is causing a blockage. Surgery is not an option to remove the blockage. At this time she is not receiving any treatments and she is working at becoming more tolerant of the issues at hand. She has been placed in hospice care and is in remarkably good spirits, just exhausted from the battle at hand. Mary Jo is an amazing wife, mother, daughter and friend. She is the strongest person I have ever known. I ask that everyone please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

Update- Mary Jo just went through another surgery this morning, now we are waiting for answers.

In February 2024, Mary Jo was taken to the emergency room with what she believed was just a stomachache. After an MRI and other testing they located a large mass and in the days that followed they removed a large portion of her colon. Cancer cells were then found in her lymph nodes and identified in her liver and since then she has been receiving treatments bi-weekly since mid March.

Mary Jo is now in the hospital with another obstruction in her small intestines.

The cost of numerous trips for treatment and many more visits to the emergency room, due to the side effects of the treatments,it all has become a financial burden.
