My name is Martha Carpenter Kiper and I’m Matt Carpenter’s sister. As you may know, Matt passed away on February 3. This fundraiser is for Matt’s two sons, Shane and Brendan. They are both trying to finish up their degrees at U Maine and U Mass. Shane is studying Political Science and has just two semesters remaining. Brendan is also close to finishing but needs to postpone in order to work to pay for his tuition. Brendan works with the homeless in Portland, Maine and will get his degree in Social Work.
