Join Maria's Battle Against Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Hi My Name is Maria, I am a 41 yr old mother of 2 beautiful children Matthew(8) and Madison(3) I was diagnosed with Stage 2b Triple Negative Breast Cancer on 3/20/24. Triple Negative Breast Cancer is a very aggressive cancer that can and will spread fast if not treated promptly and efficiently. It also has a high reoccurrence rate of 40-50% in the first 3 years. 10-15% of women a year are diagnosed with this awful cancer.

I have been unable to work my full schedule at my part time job and am down to working 2-3 days (6-9hrs a week) My part time income was help us cover some of our bills and grocery costs. Over the summer I will not be working as I work as a school lunch aide and we do not work when school is not in session so I will not have what little income I was making. I am raising money to help pay for the expenses that are building from my cancer treatments that my insurance company does not cover. Keytruda is one of those expenses, it is used with chemotherapy medicines as treatment before surgery and then continued alone after surgery when you have early-stage breast cancer, and are at high risk of your breast cancer coming back. Triple Negative Breast Cancer has very limited treatment options and the only treatments are Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Surgery and Radiation. The last few weeks the Chemotherapy has been starting to take its toll on me, it has caused my Fibromyalgia(which has been under control and manageable) to flare up and come back with a-vengeance. My symptoms are starting to interfere with my ability to function daily, I am experiencing horrible neuropathy in my hands and feet, almost daily headaches and severe fatigue. But I refuse to let Cancer hold me down and am trying to keep my children’s lives as normal as possible. Funds will be used to pay for medical expenses and help pay for daily living expenses.
