Help Maika get to the World Cup!

Hi!

My name is Maika Ruiz and I am a Mexican-American competitive rock climber. I have been doing this sport since I was 7 years old. In the 2020 and 2024 Olympics, rock climbing was a discretionary sport. Now, for the 2028 Olympics, sport climbing will be inducted as a mandatory sport, due to its increase in popularity and acceptance worldwide. This is not only a sport or a hobby; it is my second home and my passion.

There are A LOT of local and international competitions you can attend if you qualify. This year, I will be representing Mexico in the IFSC Youth World Cup 2025!!! It will take place in Finland this summer (July/August). For that, I need your help! Going to local (in and out of state) and international comps is not cheap. Going to compete in Finland is not an easy road and my parents are doing everything they can to make this possible. Any help from all of you will help lessen their pressure and get me closer to participating in my first (of many to come) World Cups!
