Hello! My name is Lydia Walters. I am a 16-year-old sophomore taking action in my learning at University Christian High School. In addition to school, I also have the chance to earn money and learn valuable lessons through a part-time job at A Cleaner World and babysitting/petsitting whenever I have the chance.
I love to hang out with friends, give hugs, knit, watch shows, color, be in nature, and most importantly, laugh. :)
Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in a self-development transformation course called Landmark Forum. I dove into the world of my stories, considerations, and mechanisms, which fill my head and, ultimately, kill possibilities. I also learned the value of now, and not living by being held on by the past. Now, having graduated from this course, I feel lighter, no longer burdened and held back from my stories.
For the first time since I was born, I am free and being.
From survival to living.
From holding on to letting go.
From being trapped in my head to just being.
From change to transformation.
This experience moved me immensely, so I signed up for the Advanced Course. This course furthers the Forum in learning how to make a difference in the world and to be powerful in life, with an emphasis of language. To seize every opportunity given to me. To create a future by my design, not limited by the past.
My mom supported me by paying for the $200 deposit, and I am responsible for paying $630 before March 31st. I am honoring my word.
To be honest, I feel overwhelmed with this because not only am I paying for part of the Advanced Course, but I am also contributing $1000 towards my camp experience this summer. I am taking full responsibility for earning this money and will be working hard to earn every penny. However, I also realized that I cannot do this all by myself (even though I want to think I can).
