Help Luka Alexander on His Healing Journey

Hi everyone,

We’d like to introduce you to our sweet baby boy, Luka Alexander.

Luka is 6 months old and was born on August 10th, 2025, alongside his twin, Josiah jr.. From the very beginning, Luka has shown us what true strength looks like.

Luka was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate and a rare Tessier 3 cleft. While these diagnoses came with many unknowns, they also revealed just how resilient and courageous our little boy truly is.

Over the past six months, Luka’s journey has not been easy. His surgeries — which are critical for his health, development, feeding, and future — have been delayed due to recurring illnesses and unexpected insurance complications. Each delay has been heartbreaking, but we continue to trust the process and advocate fiercely for him.

Now, as we prepare for his upcoming surgeries, we are facing financial challenges that we cannot manage alone.

We are raising funds to help cover:

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Surgical costs and specialist care

• Time off work so we can be home with Luka during recovery

• Travel and hotel stays for surgical appointments

• Maintaining our household bills during this critical time

Luka’s surgeries are not cosmetic — they are necessary for his ability to eat, speak, breathe, and thrive. Recovery will require full-time care, and we want to be fully present for him as he heals. Luka will have 3-4 surgeries this year and will continue to have surgeries over the course of his life until he decides he is content with the outcome.

As parents, it’s incredibly hard to ask for help. But we know it truly takes a village, and right now, we need ours.
