My friend Lucas needs help. I worked with Lucas in the past and became good friends with him and his mom. I want to reach out to anyone that has a good heart to help Lucas heal and get back on his feet. Please read this story and share with good intentions.

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out on behalf of our friend Lucas, who is preparing to undergo two major surgeries — an umbilical hernia repair and diastasis recti surgery. He was a micro premie so this area did not grow together, doctors say it is a birth defect. His doctors have explained that these procedures are necessary to relieve ongoing pain and prevent more serious health complications in the future.

Lucas is expected to be out of work for a minimum of four weeks during recovery. While he’s ready to face the surgery and focus on healing, the reality is that a month or more without full income will make covering everyday expenses incredibly difficult.
