Meet Lua!

We rescued Lua at 6 months old, when he was found as a stray in a rural area, emaciated and covered in over 500 ticks. He had a rough start in life but is one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs we've had the pleasure of saving. He very quickly went from a foster to a permanent member of our family. Now, at only 1.5 years old, Lua has been diagnosed with brain cancer and is fighting for his life in the ICU (intensive care unit) at the Saskatoon WCVM Small Animal Clinic.

The treatment he desperately needs (radiation therapy) is not available locally so he is on a wait list for Victoria, BC or Guelph Ontario, with calls being made to clinics in the USA as well. We are raising funds to give Lua a fighting chance at the full life he deserves to live.
