Updated on 4/9 @5:22p.m. We still have a bake sale to go but so far with all the fundraising and this gofund.me, we are so much closer to our goal. Thank you all again. I updated the goal to what is still needed.
Updated on 4/6 @4:18p.m. Between the gofundme, other fundraising, family pitching in, when I get paid again we are close to our overall goal. Still have one more fundraiser on April 19th. Also we have a couple who has offered to pay the rest of the balance of whatever we come up short. Thank you all who have supported our daughter whether it was donating and or sharing.
My name is Liberty Braden, mother of Carolina Braden. Carolina is 10 years old and in 4th grade at Pymatuning Valley Elementary School. She is a type 1 diabetic who doesn't let that get in her way of anything she wants to do or puts her mind to.
My daughter Carolina was nominated by her STEM teacher at school for an opportunity to go to Bowling Green University to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum(NYLF Pathways to STEM, an Envision by WorldStrides program. This program is designed to give future leaders an unparalleled opportunity while still in elementary school to discover students personal strengths and to begin to aquire the leadership and life skills needed for academic and career success.
Carolina works very hard in and out of school. She cares about her grades. She is an A and B student. She's one of the most sweetest and smart little girls I have ever know. She is such a helper without having to ask for it. Her father and I are very proud of her.
She wants to become a meteorologist. She likes storms such as tornadoes and hurricanes. Although she is scared of storms herself, she wants to help inform others of the how and why storms form and to help warn people when danger is near.
Tuition is a little expensive ($3,245) so we would appreciate any help to make this camp happen for her this summer. We only have until April 30th to get her enrolled and pay.
Anything will help and would be appreciated. Anyone that knows me knows I hate asking for help but when it comes to my daughter and making this opportunity come to life for her to have this type of experience and education, I have to try everything.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you donate. You are appreciate.
Update: Thank you to the people who have donated so far. Everything is going towards her tuition for this experience. Please keep sharing so we can reach as many people as possible, even if you are unable to donate. Thank you all.
