Hello, my name is Laurie, and I never imagined I’d be reaching out for help like this. At 30 years old, I’m facing my fifth brain surgery. I was born with brain cancer, and it’s been a part of my life for as long as I can remember – a relentless challenge that has shaped who I am. Each surgery, each recovery, each setback has pushed me, but I've always held onto hope and the dream of a life beyond this battle.
With every procedure, the stakes seem to grow. My body grows weary, but my spirit is strong. I’m inspired by the love I have for my family and friends, and by those little moments of joy that make life so precious. This journey has taught me a lot about courage, resilience, and the kindness of strangers. And I've learned that sometimes, it’s okay to ask for help.
The financial strain has been immense. Medical bills, therapies, and everyday expenses have stretched my resources to their limits. But I’m not done fighting, and I don’t want to let financial hardship end this journey before I’ve had a chance to live a full and meaningful life.
That’s why I’m reaching out now. Any support you can offer – no matter the size – brings me closer to a brighter tomorrow and a chance to keep moving forward. Your kindness would mean the world to me, and I am incredibly grateful for anything you can give to help me on this journey. Thank you for listening, for caring, and for being part of this fight with me.
With all my heart,
Laurie
