Lauren was diagnosed with liver disease and is currently on the list to receive a liver. This has been a new journey for us as we could never expect the emotional rollercoaster of all the medical appointments and all the recent hospitalizations that have happened.

We were also not ready for the ever-increasing cost of traveling back and forth to another state for treatment and when they call that a possible organ is ready only to find out after traveling there that it is never a guarantee. This just recently happened. I am her husband and I will drive wherever it is needed to save my wife of 40 years of marriage. I will admit that it is getting tight and the medical bills from all the hospital stays have been piling up.

I am the person that will say we are fine and will figure it out. Well its getting more difficult every day to figure it out.

My wife of 40 years deserves the chance to get this organ transplant after a life of supporting me in the military, going through a tornado that took our first home with her and our children in it. She has been my rock throughout our marriage and now I am trying my best to be hers.
