We all have family, but while some families are connected by blood, others are connected by bond. What we know, is that our family is more than just those in our bloodline. One of the nearest and dearest humans that we know is having a medical crisis, and to us, she is family.

Two weeks ago, we saw a sudden change in her. She became weak, lost weight, and was confused. Her sentences were jumbled and she wasn't able to communicate what was going on. After her family took her to the ER, she was then helicoptered to the Denver after finding swelling in her brain and spine. She spent 14 days in the hospital, underwent countless scans, and had many blood tests. A brain biopsy finally determined she has has an auto-immune disease related to Rheumatoid Arthritis, but it attacked her brain. She is finally home, but she will have ongoing immunotherapies and trips to Denver coming up.

We know this family well, and we know that trying to pay for the bill that is coming their way will be a burden. We are hoping to help in any way that we can to collect funds through Go Fund Me. We imagine the bill will be hundreds of thousands of dollars at this point. We aren't sure how it will all pan out. She will also need follow up appointments and ongoing care that may be costly. She has 4 children, and one of her sons and her husband were at her side for the full two weeks, forgoing pay from their jobs. Their family has had a significant loss of income while they have been with her in the hospital.

Your donations will be used to recoup lost income, pay for future medications and doctor visits, and pay medical bills.

Her family has not asked us for this help, but we want to do what we can. Anyone who has ever met her knows that she has the heart of an angel. She volunteers with her church, her children's school, and her community. She is such a GOOD and genuine person, and it is time for our community to wrap our arms around her.
